Stomp Rockets and Maths
Rockets are made by rolling paper round a tube and stapling the end. They can either be launched by blowing down the tube or connecting the tube to a plastic bottle and stamping/jumping on the bottle. The activity can be extended by adding fins at a slight angle looking at aerodynamics/friction and investigating how the launch angle affects the distance travelled. It would be lovely to do a proper science investigation, but unfortunately there are too many variables that are difficult to control, such as force of stomp applied to the bottle.
