This activity is based on the control of driverless trains, like the DLR. The same buggy that was used in Controllable Vehicles is now controlled by an IQ2 programmable printed circuit board. There are a series of tasks for the students to carry out to start and stop the buggy in the right places. Three stations are marked on the floor and for the final task the students have to control the buggy to start at station A stop at B then a C, then return to B and A all automatically. It takes quite a bit of doing, but the successful students are very proud of the end result!
